15 deaths and 206 new infections with Corona virus throughout the Syrian regions

During the past 24 hours, all Syrian regions recorded 15 deaths and 206 new infections with the Coronavirus, bringing the total to 62,189 cases, of which 2,931 died.

The new deaths were distributed to 9 in the regions of northeastern Syria, and 6 in the areas controlled by the Assad regime, while no deaths were recorded in the northwest of the country and the Peace Spring region.

As for the casualties, the largest share of them was in the areas of the so-called “Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria”, with 89, then the Assad regime-controlled areas with 70, while the northwestern regions and Peace Spring received 47 cases.

With this new outcome, the areas of the Assad regime still occupy the first place among the Syrian regions in terms of the number of cases in Corona, followed by the northwest regions, and then the northeastern regions.

With regard to the Corona vaccine campaign in northwestern Syria, the number of vaccinations has increased to about 4,500, since the vaccination campaign was launched in early May, targeting health and humanitarian personnel.

The regions of Syria in general are witnessing a “third wave” of the spread of the Corona virus, which has led to a remarkable increase in the number of deaths and cases during the past weeks, especially in the regime-controlled areas and northeastern Syria.
