507 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in northern Syria
The north of Syria recorded a significant jump in cases of Corona virus, with the announcement of 507 new infections distributed over the regions of Idlib and Aleppo, northwest Syria, and the Spring of Peace region.
In the details, the Early Warning and Epidemic Response Network of the Support Coordination Unit announced the registration of 423 new infections with the Corona virus in the northern Syrian regions.
The network concerned with monitoring Corona’s outcomes said: “The recorded injuries reached 29,190, with no new deaths recorded, and thus the number stopped at 736.”
And 31 new cases of recovery were recorded, bringing the number of cases recovering from the virus to 23,631 people, and she pointed out that the number of new analyzes reached 1462, which raises the total number to 180,934 tests.
Regarding the distribution of infections, the network indicated that most of them were recorded in Idlib city, Harem, Ariha, Jisr al-Shughur, and Azaz and Afrin in the countryside of Aleppo, according to the classification through the health information system.
This came with the registration of 84 new injuries recorded by the network in the “Spring of Peace” areas, bringing the number to 3,193 infections and 29 deaths, with one new death recorded.
Warnings are mounting about the repercussions of the outbreak of the Corona pandemic in the regions of northern Syria due to the overcrowding of the region, especially in the displacement camps, the great lack of capabilities of the health directorates, and the lack of equipment and machines, which in turn work to limit the spread of the virus.
