Qatar Charity organizes an educational initiative to support 400,000 Syrian refugees
“Qatar charity” organization in partnership with Qatar Fund for Development organized several international educational initiatives to serve the educational projects during the crises that aim to address the damage and reduce the negative effects of the attack on schools and educational facilities.
“Qatar charity” organized the initiative through “Quest” to provide education and training for about 400,000 Syrian refugees inside Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Turkey, through its field teams, to reduce the numbers of children dropping out of school and ensure their continuous learning.
The organization said in a statement: “The project activities include the rehabilitation of schools and the restoration of electricity grids and health facilities. The project targets 83 schools distributed over the areas of al-Bab, Azaz, Afrin, Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ain, with a total of 1400 classrooms.”
The statement added that 53,000 male and female students will benefit from the project through the coming three years. The number of beneficiaries reached 24000 children in 2022. The statement pointed out that “Qatar charity” organization has recently contributed in the World Refugee School initiative as a founding member of its global board of directors.
The number of educational facilities destroyed by Assad regime and Russia’s warplanes during the recent attack on Hama northern countryside and Idleb southern countryside reached 116 schools, noting that the threats affected about 360,000 students.
