Over 2300 cholera cases and 97 deaths were recorded in Syria

Cholera cases have risen to 2339, with 97 deaths in the different Syrian regions.

The number of cholera cases has raised to 500, 16 deaths, and 25607 suspected cases in northwestern Syria, according to the Early Warning Alert and Response Network.

The Network added that in the Peace Spring Operation’s areas the cholera toll stopped at 41 infections and two deaths, while the total number of suspected cases reached 1807 cases.

The Civil Defense teams continued the work of emergency response, sanitation, and awareness to curb the spread of the disease. They also called on the people to pay attention to the sources of drinking water, boil it before drinking, if it is not sterile, cook food well, and wash vegetables before eating them.
