For those affected by the earthquake.. Entry of an international aid convoy to the north of Syria

A United Nations aid convoy entered Saturday through the Bab al-Hawa crossing to northern Syria for those affected by the earthquake.

The Director of Public Relations at the Bab al-Hawa Mazen Alush crossing told Fresh: “A 22-truck international convoy carrying medical and logistical equipment and foodstuffs entered Syria, followed by another one in the coming hours.

Another convoy of about 20 trucks that arrived at the crossing, provided by Turkish associations, contained food and clothing.

Alush stated that the entry of such assistance began to enter the north of Syria 4 days after the earthquake.

In the coming hours, additional trucks will arrive in the north of Syria with assistance from Turkish charities.

Since last Monday’s devastating earthquake, no UN assistance has entered northwestern Syria, with the exception of two convoys consisting of only 20 vehicles in routine assistance, for an area of more than 4 million people.
