Four members of Assad regime forces killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting military sites in Damascus

Israeli aircrafts targeted early on Monday a military site of the Assad regime forces in the vicinity of Damascus city, killing two members of the Assad regime and injuring four others.

A military source loyal to the Assad regime said that the Israeli aircrafts carried out airstrikes from al-Jolan city at around 2:20 a.m. on the vicinity of Damascus.

“SANA” news agency claimed that the Assad regime’s air defenses managed to intercept and shoot down several Israeli missiles.

The “Voice of the Capital” website made it clear that Israeli warplanes struck with four missiles the military sites of Assad regime and Iran between Saidnaya town and Mitin town in north Damascus.

The “Voice of the Capital” website revealed that the targeted area contains depots known as “Minen depots” affiliated to the Assad regime.

The same website added that the Assad regime forces tried to intercept the Israeli missiles from Qasioun and other areas, as they were able to shoot down a missile in Doreen village in Damascus countryside.

Israel has intensified in recent months its attacks on airports and air bases affiliated to the Assad regime, to disrupt Iran’s increasing use of air supply lines to send weapons to its allies in Syria and Lebanon.
