Israeli intelligence sources said that the reason for the intensive raids launched by Israeli aircraft on Iranian military sites in Syria is the result of the Iranian positioning on the Syrian-Iraqi borders, and the increase in tensions in the region before the US President-elect Joe Biden assumed office.

The newspaper pointed out that Israeli officials feared Washington’s interest in Iraq would diminish after Biden’s arrival, threatening to turn him into a country fully subject to Iranian influence.
