Denouncing the hostilities in Manbij and Afrin.. The National Coalition sends a legal memorandum to the United Nations

The National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces sent a legal memorandum to the United Nations, regarding the two massacres committed by the Syrian Democratic Forces against the rights of patients, medical staff and paramedics in “Al-Shifaa” Hospital in Afrin, and the suppression of peaceful demonstrations in the city of Manbij.

According to the memo, the evidence indicates the involvement of the Syrian Democratic Forces in “hostile terrorist operations against civilians, to disrupt efforts to build security, peace and stability.”

The memorandum included the names of the victims of the Afrin bombings, and the victims of the massacre that took place in Manbij as a result of the demonstrations carried out by the people.

It called on the international coalition to stop any military or political support for the Syrian Democratic Forces, and to take measures to stop these violations, bring justice to the victims, and hold the perpetrators accountable, noting that “there is widespread popular tension in the areas controlled by the militias (Syrian Democratic Forces), in addition to the state of corruption among the Syrian Democratic Forces.” its leaders and arms.

The memorandum demanded the adoption of the initiative of the National Coalition to administer the region by its people, in a manner that ensures the achievement of security and peace, and abides by international law.

It is noteworthy that a delegation from the Syrian National Coalition headed by the head of the coalition, Dr. Nasr Hariri, made several visits inside the Afrin area in the countryside of Aleppo, following the bombings carried out by the Syrian Democratic Forces, which killed dozens of civilians and medical staff.

This memo comes days after missile and artillery shelling targeted Shifa Hospital in Afrin, killing 19 people and wounding about 40. Turkey said the Kurdish units were responsible, while the latter denied.
