732 new cases of corona virus in northwestern Syria
Northern Syria recorded a new jump in the number of coronavirus cases, with the announcement of 732 new infections distributed over the regions of Idlib and Aleppo, northwest Syria, and the “Spring of Peace” region.
The Early Warning and Epidemic Response Network announced that 732 new infections had been recorded in the liberated areas of northwestern Syria, in addition to 95 cases in the “Spring of Peace” area.
Thus, the total number of infections in northern Syria reached 33,170, and the number of recovery cases reached 24,052, after 173 new cases of recovery were recorded.
This came with the registration of 95 new infections recorded by the network in the “Spring of Peace” areas, bringing the number to 3,700 infections and 31 deaths, without recording new deaths.
While the death toll in northern Syria reached 751, and the total number of cases tested yesterday is 2120, which raises the number of tests to 191,089 in northern Syria.
The network indicated that it is verifying new deaths of positive cases of the Corona virus in the areas of Aleppo and Idlib, which is likely to increase the number announced during the daily disclosure of the outcome of the epidemic in the liberated north of Syria.
While 8 cases of workers in the health sector (a doctor, 5 nurses and 2 cleaning workers) were recorded, 4 cases were accepted in the hospital (they did not receive a vaccine), and 58 cases were displaced inside the camps.
The Syria Vaccine Team said that the second campaign of vaccination campaigns against the Corona virus was launched last Saturday morning, and the campaign will target humanitarian workers and people with chronic diseases of all ages, the elderly, and workers in public affairs.
