11 deaths and 951 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in northwest Syria

Yesterday, northwestern Syrian regions recorded 951 new cases of COVID-19, increasing the total number of infections to 59573 cases since the virus began spreading.

According to the report issued by the Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the Early Warning Network, 951 cases of coronavirus were recorded yesterday, after 1856 new analyzes were conducted, while the recovery cases rose to 30,920 cases after 836 cases of recovery were recorded.

According to the observatory, the number of coronavirus-related deaths rose to 951 after 11 deaths were recorded.

The observatory indicated that daily positivity rate is high, estimated at (51.2%), with the registration of 11 cases of health sector workers, 6 accepted cases in the hospital, and 142 cases of displaced people inside the camps.
While warnings are mounting from health and humanitarian organizations about the repercussions of the outbreak of the pandemic in northwestern Syria due to the overcrowding of the region, especially in displacement camps, stressing the need to strictly follow the necessary preventive measures to limit the spread of the pandemic.
