An upcoming meeting between the Turkish and US presidents on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders’ Summit

US President Joe Biden will meet with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday, on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders Summit in the Italian capital, Rome.

In a press statement yesterday, Saturday, a senior White House official said that Biden will hold a bilateral meeting with his Turkish counterpart.

He added that Biden met German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her aide Olaf Scholz during the summit.

The Group of 20 leaders’ summit kicked off yesterday, in the Italian capital, Rome.

The summit is scheduled to conclude today, when the leaders will discuss many important issues such as combating climate change, health and global economic affairs.
