Zelensky strips two generals of their military ranks for being traitors

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stripped on Monday two military seniors of their ranks describing them as traitors, according to a report published by ”NPR” radio website.

Zelensky revealed in statements that “Andriy Olehovych Naumov, former head of the main department of internal security at the Security Service of Ukraine, and Serhiy Oleksandrovych Kryvoruchko, former head of the SBU directorate in the Kherson region, are no longer generals.”

The report indicated that the internal security is considered one of the main intelligence agency in Ukraine which focuses on combating espionage and terrorism.

The report noted that the Ukrainian president has not yet clarified the reasons for stripping these leaders of their ranks, referring that they were not loyal to Ukraine.

Zelensky declared that these commanders had violated their military oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people and in accordance with the disciplinary system of the Ukrainian forces, they were deprived of their senior military ranks.

The Ukrainian president said during a video clip broadcast on Friday “We rescued more than 3,000 people from the city of Mariupol, which is besieged by Russian forces”, stressing that the humanitarian corridors are in three regions: Donetsk, Lugansk and Zaporozhye through them we were able to save 6,266 people.

Since the outbreak of the war five weeks ago, 4.1 million people have fled Ukraine, in addition to about 6.5 million displaced people, according to the United Nations. Women and children constitute about 90 percent of those who have fled Ukraine.
