Assad regime calls again for the Security Council to intervene to stop the Israeli bombing

Yesterday, Thursday, the Assad regime called on the UN Security Council to intervene to stop the continuous Israeli bombing of Syria, and complaining to the Security Council is the only thing that the Assad regime is good at responding to the Israeli raids.

This came in a letter sent by the Assad regime to the Security Council calling on the Council to “assume responsibility within the framework of the United Nations Charter and take firm and immediate measures to prevent the recurrence of Israeli attacks on Syrian lands,” as Assad regime put it.

In its message, the regime’s foreign ministry linked the Israeli bombing as usual with what it called “terrorism,” saying: “Syria also confirms that it is continuing with determination and confidence in pursuing its principled and steadfast approach to combating terrorism, including terrorism supported by Israel and its allies.”

On Wednesday night, the regime’s media said that the southern region of Syria had been subjected to Israeli bombardment, while a local news network said that the bombing targeted an Iranian weapons shipment, the second bombing of its kind in the era of US President Joe Biden, and the fourth since the beginning of this year.

This bombing is the second Israeli bombing during the era of the new US President, Joe Biden, and the fourth during the current year, when Israel bombed the second day of Biden’s rule, the vicinity of Hama.
