Japan will provide up to 45 billion yen ($410 million) in yen loans to Turkey to help ease the country’s financial burden of hosting refugees from war-torn Syria, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said Friday.

This came during a statement issued by the Embassy of Japan in Turkey following a meeting of the Japanese and Turkish foreign ministers in Istanbul, and official documents were signed by the two ministers regarding the maximum loan of 45 billion Japanese yen that will be provided for the purpose of providing infrastructure.
