Syrian Islamic Council: Assad regime’s practices against the people of Daraa is contrary to all international norms

The Syrian Islamic council published yesterday on its official page on social media platforms a video statement concerning the latest developments of escalation and  continued shelling and forced displacement  in the districts of besieged Daraa Al-Balad.

The statement has showed how the civilians in the districts of Daraa have been besieged and forced displaced, stressing “the practices of besieging civilians for 70 days followed by systematic bombing by Assad regime and its Russian ally were against all international norms”.

The council has denounced in the statement the international silence on the repeated violations which have occurred before the entire world, and also condemned the crimes committed by the Assad regime forces and its allies.

The council has expressed its sorrow for the week media coverage regarding this significant event, and has called on the necessity of brotherly Arab countries and friendly countries to intervene to stop the plan of forced displacement and demographic change that will affect the whole region.

In its statement, the council called on the people of Houran in particular, and the Syrians and the free people in all countries of the world in general to stand by Daraa, and urged its people to hold on to their land and not to forfeit their rights, to fail the scheme of the Assad regime.

It is noteworthy that the security committee of the Assad regime suddenly turned against the agreement, and escalated its demands again, which led to the collapse of the agreement.
