Syrian refugees in Jordan receive vaccines against the Corona virus

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees revealed that five thousand Syrian refugees in the “Zaatari” and “Azraq” camps in Jordan have received vaccines against the Coronavirus.

According to the commission, 13,000 residents registered on the government’s online platform are waiting for an appointment to receive the vaccine.

The High Commissioner for Refugees in Jordan announced during the month of March that the conditions for the first phase of administering the vaccine against the Corona virus applied to 1,200 Syrian refugees in the “Zaatari” camp.

It is noteworthy that the Jordanian Ministry of Health launched, at the end of last year, a website to register the names of those wishing to take the vaccine, provided that they are among health personnel or suffer from chronic diseases or who are over 65 years old.
