The Central Reconciliation Committee in Daraa and the Assad regime fail to reach an agreement on Daraa al-Balad

The Central Reconciliation Committee in Daraa and the Assad regime failed to reach a new agreement on the besieged neighborhoods in Daraa al-Balad, after the failure to complete the latest settlement agreement sponsored by Russia.

The Ahrar Houran Gathering said, through its official identifiers, that a meeting was held yesterday, Wednesday, between the Central Committee and the Assad regime to discuss developments in the situation in Daraa, without reaching any agreement.

The assembly added that the dam regime insisted again on handing over weapons, carrying out inspections, and setting up military points inside neighborhoods, which are the conditions it has set since the start of tension in Daraa more than two months ago.

The spokesman for the Ahrar Houran Gathering, Ayman Abu Mahmoud, said: “The central committees launched a new round of negotiations with the Assad regime and the Russians to save the agreement, with the Assad regime continuing to send reinforcements to Daraa, with reconnaissance planes flying.”

The day before yesterday, the two parties reached a new settlement agreement, which faltered in the first steps due to the rejection of two out of 10 of the displacement process to northern Syria.
