6 Deaths and 114 COVID-19 cases were recorded in northwest Syria

Yesterday, northwestern Syria recorded more than 110 Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 91,551 since the virus began spreading.

According to the report issued by the Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the Early Warning Network, 114  coronavirus cases were recorded on Sunday, November 21, after 606 new analyzes were conducted, while the number of people recovered reached 234, 132 of them in Idlib governorate, and 102 in The “Olive Branch” and “Euphrates Shield” areas, bringing the number of recoveries to 59,248.

The infections were distributed among the cities and towns of Idlib governorate, so that the governorate recorded 75 new infections in a low curve of infections for months, including 33 cases in Harem area and 33 in Idlib city, while the cities and towns of the northern and eastern Aleppo countryside recorded 39 infections, 29 of them in Afrin area.

In the past hours, 6 deaths were recorded, bringing the number of deaths to 2,142 since the virus began spreading in northwest Syria, according to the epidemiological surveillance laboratory.

It is noteworthy that the northwestern region of Syria has witnessed a noticeable decline in the number of HIV infections for days, after two consecutive months of the daily number of infections exceeding the thousand cases.

It is noteworthy that the number of analyzes that have been conducted has reached 312,892 since the pandemic outbreak in the middle of last year.
