A military de-escalation precedes a new round of negotiation on the neighborhoods of besieged Daraa
The spokesman for Daraa negotiating committee, Adanan Al-Masalma, said that an agreement has been reached between the Russian delegation and Assad regime to stop the military escalation until today morning.
Adanan Al-Masalma stated that the ceasefire will be followed by a new round of negotiation about the terms of 1 September agreement between Assad regime on one hand and Russia on the other.
He also denied in statements to ” Ahrar Hawran Gathering” website reaching to a final agreement with the actors, pointing out that a new talks will be held today to discuss the terms of agreement announced on 1 september.
It is worth noting that Russian and regime forces were adhering to several demands, including the handing over of all individual weapons, inspection in the houses of Daraa al-Balad, deployment of several posts and checkpoints, and evacuation of gunmen and civilians rejecting these demands to north Syria.
The tribes of Daraa had previously called on the Russian side to secure a mass displacement of the people of Daraa al-Balad towards Turkey or Jordan, after the Assad regime failed to comply with the terms of the agreement concluded with the tribes, according to the negotiating committee.
