Akar: Turkey seeks to evacuate its forces from Afghanistan as soon as possible after carrying out its tasks

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said today, Thursday, that Turkey is doing its best to complete the process of evacuating its forces from Afghanistan as soon as possible.

Akar stressed that the Turkish army forces carried out their tasks in Afghanistan to the fullest, and that the evacuation operations had actually begun.

Akar added that the Turkish Armed Forces are making every effort to implement the evacuation plan without hindrance, despite the unusual density at Kabul Airport.
And he added: “I would like to thank our friends and brothers in Pakistan and Tajikistan, and our allies with whom we work in the region, for their support of our activities.”

Akar indicated that the evacuations are proceeding in coordination between the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant institutions.

Yesterday, Wednesday, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the start of the process of evacuating its armed forces from Afghanistan, after evaluating the various contacts and the current situation and conditions.
