An official in the Assad regime justifies the bread crisis because the citizens’ dependence on it for their food !!

A newspaper affiliated with the Assad regime quoted “Salem Nasser”, director of the bakery branch in Tartous, as justifying that “the lack of bread material is due to the citizens’ dependence on it, ”considering that as the main reason that led to the increase in demand, adding to previous statements by Assad regime officials in this regard which has sparked widespread controversy according to its separate from reality.

“Nasser” denied any reduction, and stated that “the quantity that citizens demand does not exist” and he added, “Last month, the quantities allocated to a number of areas were increased from 50 bundles to 100 bread a day,” according to his estimates.

The newspaper held the responsibility for the bread crisis and the reduction of allocations for the “accredited” after it said “they were afflicted with immorality and greed,” taking advantage of the shortage to achieve profits at the expense of the citizen’s morsel, “as it puts it, forgetting the decisions of the Assad regime to reduce allocations and raise the prices of the material.

It is noteworthy that Assad regime officials and loyal personalities have a wide record of counter-facts and controversial theories about the exacerbation of economic crises, forgetting that the main reason is the practices of the Assad regime and the depletion and looting of the country’s resources.
