The “Early Warning Network” registers 248 new cases of COVID-19 in northern Syria

Today, Sunday, the “Early Warning and Epidemic Response Network” registered 248 new infections of Corona virus in the northern Syrian regions.

The network indicated that the recorded infections reached 29,769, with no new deaths recorded, thus stopping the number at 736 cases.

While the network recorded 61 new cases of recovery, bringing the number of cases recovering from the virus to 23,719 people, and noted that the number of new analyzes reached 489, which raises the total number to 182 and 818 thousand tests.

In a statement, the network warned all families of the danger of the current epidemiological situation and noted the need to follow all means of personal protection from wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, staying away from crowded places and avoiding gatherings.

The network called on the local authorities to maintain the instructions to prevent the disease.
The Syria Response Coordinators team confirmed that the city of Kafr Takharim, north of Idlib, is witnessing a remarkable increase in the number of people infected with the emerging coronavirus, as health authorities in the region are recording infections almost daily, and at high rates compared to the number of residents in the city.

It should be noted that warnings are rising about the repercussions of the outbreak of the pandemic in the regions of northern Syria due to the overcrowding of the region, especially in the displacement camps.
