The National Coalition holds a virtual meeting with international representatives to discuss developments in the Syrian file

The head of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, Dr. Nasr Al-Hariri, gave a briefing today, Wednesday, on the tenth anniversary of the Syrian revolution, the developments of the political process and the constitutional committee.

This came during a hypothetical meeting held by the Foreign Relations Department of the Syrian National Coalition, with ambassadors and representatives of countries friendly to the Syrian people, in the city of Azaz in the countryside of Aleppo, ten years after the start of the Syrian revolution.

Representatives and officials from the National Coalition participated in the meeting, while from the other side (Friends of the Syrian People) representatives from the United States of America, Canada, Japan, Denmark, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Belgium, and Spain attended.

The Minister of Health in the Syrian Interim Government, Maram Al-Sheikh, spoke about the health conditions in northern Syria, and the response plan to the Corona virus.

The Executive Director of the Support Coordination Unit, Mohamed Hassanou, also provided an explanation about the economic conditions in the liberated areas under the circumstances of the Corona pandemic, and talked about the agricultural and trade sectors.

The Coordinator of the Refugee Office, Adnan Rahmon, reviewed the situation of Syrian refugees in neighboring countries and the diaspora, and through it a quick account of the refugee file, and the figures issued by the United Nations on the internal displacement movement and the external asylum of Syrians.

While the Coordinator of the Caesar Law Follow-up Team, Abdul Majid Barakat, spoke about the international sanctions imposed on the Assad regime, and stressed the need for all efforts to be concerted and focused on targeting the regime and its symbols.

The international envoys affirmed their support for the Syrian people in their demands for freedom and democracy, and to move towards imposing sanctions on the head of the regime and the criminals of its regime as part of the accountability process and the fulfillment of his aspirations and dreams after ten years of sacrificing freedom, dignity and democracy.
