Vladimir Putin: We do not want a military clash with NATO in Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a press conference in St Petersburg: “Russia does not want a direct clash with the NATO forces in Syria.”

Putin added that “No one wants a direct clash between NATO forces and Russia in Syria.”

Putin emphasized that “If anyone wants this clash, Moscow is ready for any scenario,” according to Reuters.

Tensions between America and Russia increased during the previous days in the Syrian airspace, as friction between Russian planes and American drones increased.

“Wall Street Journal” newspaper published a report, warning against turning Syria into a battleground between America and Russia, according to the current developments.
