Signing a memorandum of understanding between Qatar and Britain to support the education of 130,000 children in northwestern Syria!

The State of Qatar and the United Kingdom signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of supporting the education of about 130,000 children in northwestern Syria, while meeting their comprehensive needs, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the Syrian revolution.

According to the Qatar News Agency “Qena”, the memorandum was signed between the Qatar Fund for Development and the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Commonwealth Affairs through visual communication technology, pointing out that Misfer Al-Shahwani, Deputy Director General of Development Projects at the Qatar Development Fund, signed the memorandum with “Maria Wayard”, head of the Syria team Concerned with Humanitarian Protection and Early Recovery for the British Foreign Office.

The agreement aims to provide important resources that will ensure the sustainability and preservation of the educational process.

The agency indicated that this support from Qatar represents a fundamental and sustainable investment that will help children and teachers, and improve their living conditions in the governorates of Idlib and Aleppo, and this cooperation will also enhance the vision of the Qatar Fund for Development represented in giving hope and promoting peace and justice, in addition to capacity building inside Syria provides support to 130,000 children and 11,683 teachers in 435 schools.

The revolution has entered its eleventh year, with the forces of the Assad regime and its ally Russia continuing to commit massacres against civilians and displace millions to northern Syria, and to the countries neighboring Syria.
