In the Constitutional Committee, away from the stubbornness of the Assad regime, and creating the conditions for holding free and fair elections in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2254.

The resolution condemns the atrocities committed by the Assad regime and its backers (Russia and Iran), and that “Washington must commit to holding accountable those responsible for these crimes, which are considered war crimes and crimes against humanity.”

The resolution called for “revitalizing diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict, as set out in United Nations Security Council Resolution 2254, and expanding the scope of humanitarian aid to the Syrian people.”
