Response coordinators call on the international community to stop the bombing campaign on the liberated north

In a statement yesterday, the response coordinators called on the international community to restrain Russia and the Assad regime and to stop the military bombing campaign targeting the liberated north.

In the team’s statement, 711 violations of the cease-fire agreement announced with the Turks on March 5, 2020, by Russia and the Assad regime, were documented in the Idlib region during the month of August, indicating that the violations and shelling led to the death of 23 people, including 16 children and three women.

The source considered any military escalation in the region and cases of displacement, forced displacement and demographic change of the people fall on the shoulders of the Russians and the Assad regime, calling on all international actors to stand by their commitments and impose a ceasefire agreement in
light of the Corona pandemic and the worsening health situation.

The statement called on all humanitarian organizations and bodies to increase the effectiveness of hygiene and water projects and to work on awareness campaigns related to Corona.

Without the slightest commitment to their commitments in international forums and bilateral meetings with the Turks, the Russian military continues its aerial bombardment campaigns with Krasinpol laser missiles, concussion and vacuum missiles from their planes, and demolished civilian homes in the de-escalation zone in Idlib to the north, causing human and property losses.

The last of which was a series of raids in the area north of the M4 highway in the Idlib area, Kfarmed and the village of Al-Hamamah
