Ankara calls on Washington to stop its support for the Syrian Democratic Forces

Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said, “The United States must end its support for the Syrian Democratic Forces.”

He added, “We differ about supporting the Syrian Democratic Forces in Syria, but we have many common points regarding the future of the Assad regime, in addition to other common points, such as Iraq, the fight against ISIS, the eastern Mediterranean, Libya and other places.”

He concluded that “during the next few days, it is likely that there will be contact between the foreign ministers of the two countries, provided that the same thing will happen in the coming weeks. There is no specific date now, between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Biden.”
