13 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in northern Syria

Today, Monday, the “Early Warning and Epidemic Response Network” of the “Support Coordination Unit” recorded 13 new cases of coronavirus in the northern Syrian regions.

The network said that its recorded infections amounted to 26,264 cases, with two new deaths recorded, bringing the number to 722 deaths.

Most of the infections were distributed in Harem, Ariha, Idlib city, al-Bab and Afrin in Aleppo countryside, according to the classification through the health information system.

The network added that 15 new cases of recovery, bringing the number of people recovering from the virus to 23 thousand and 157 people, and noted that the number of new analyzes reached 274, which raises the total number to 163 thousand and 252 tests.

It is noteworthy that warnings are rising about the repercussions of the outbreak of the pandemic in the regions of northern Syria due to the overcrowding of the region, especially in the displacement camps.
