Director of the “Syria Response Coordinators” team: Communication is in place with all parties to secure the needs of the displaced

The “Response Coordinators” team issued a statement today, Monday, in which it said that the Assad regime forces continue to violate the ceasefire in northwestern Syria, which was announced on March 5, 2020, pointing out that they intentionally target residential areas and neighborhoods in villages and towns in Idlib countryside,
To prevent the return of the civilian population to their areas.

The Syria Response Coordination Group called on all international bodies concerned with Syrian affairs to work to stabilize the ceasefire in northwestern Syria, and to stop the ongoing violations to allow civilians to return to their areas.

The statement added: “Humanitarian organizations and agencies must work to secure the needs of returnees to their areas, in addition to securing the needs of the displaced in areas of displacement, and activating basic facilities and infrastructure in areas of return of displaced persons.

In an exclusive interview with Fresh, Mohamed Hallaj, Director of the Response Coordinators Team, says: “The extent of the agencies’ response to the grants is linked to the needs that are raised through the organizations and civil actors in the region that are provided by the United Nations, and accordingly, funding is provided to each sector.

Hallaj added, “Communication is ongoing with all parties without any exception, stressing that the statement that issues a brief statement is not fully explained.”

Hallaj confirmed, “There is a study submitted to all humanitarian authorities concerned with this matter explaining the full assessment of the situation, including violations of the Assad regime and the changing humanitarian needs.”
