170 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in northwestern Syria

The Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the Early Warning Network in the Support Coordination Unit announced the registration of 170 new infections with the Corona virus, in northwestern Syria, bringing the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic so far to 101,311.

The Laboratory confirmed that 170 infections were distributed as follows, 62 of them in Idlib governorate and its countryside, and 108 in Aleppo western countryside.

The Laboratory pointed out that 571 recovery cases from Coronavirus were recorded, 566 of them in Idlib governorate and its countryside, and 5 in the northern and western Aleppo countryside, bringing the total number of recovery cases to 94,692.

While it conducted 653 new analyzes, bringing the total number of analyzes to 363,309, noting that no new deaths related to “Covid-19” were recorded, so that the death toll remained 2418 cases.

It is noteworthy that medical authorities warned of a new wave with the arrival of the mutated Omicron, which exceeded the capacity of the depleted medical sector, at a time when the vaccination rate still did not exceed 8 percent.
